Tarat is a Bidayuh Village that situated at the District of Serian in the State of Sarawak, Malaysia. Sarawak is a one of the Malaysia's State that is situated in the Borneo Island.
Tarat village itself is comprise of three sub villages namely; 1) Tarat Mawang 2) Tarat Melawi 3) Tarat Sibala.
However, the surrounding area around Tarat also is considered as a part of the constituency.

Dibina dengan peruntukan kerajaan sebanyak RM 4 juta di tapak yang tetap di KM 9, Jalan Baki-Riih, terletak 20km dari Bandar Serian. Sekolah ini dibina untuk menempatkan keperluan pendidikan majoriti kaum Bidayuh. Hampir semua pelajar ditempatkan di asrama. Sebelum ini, sekolah ini beroperasi di dua tempat sementara berhampiran dengan Bandar Serian dengan menggunakan nama SMK Taee.
